Day 23
Play an album that you love that most other do not

I really have no idea what albums other people don't love. But I know whoever wrote the overly pretentious 1.9 rated review on Pitchfork hated this album. While they did seem to troll a lot more back then, but I don't see how you can claim now to be a serious online review site and leave that review up.

Tool – Lateralus
Volcano – 61422-31160-1 LP, 2001/2005

This is the first "non-CB cut" - I haven't listened to it in a while.

Day 28
Phil Collins - No Jacket Required
After Lionel Richie beat Bruce Springsteen and Prince for AOTY, the Grammys implemented the extremely controversial secret committees to pick winners to avoid "mistake" like this (and look how well that worked out). So Collins is the first committee approved winner. For this theme have someone else pick (including the discog randomizer) an album for you to listen to.

Janet Jackson "Velvet Rope" (1997 Virgin; 2019 reissue)
As selected by @Fleetwood-Matt ...

Day 25
Toto - IV
This album opens and closes with Toto's two best songs (Rosanna and Africa respectivly) play an album where the first and/or last song is the best on the album

This kicks off strong with The One Thing as the first track. Don't Change as the closer though, is not just the best on the album, but probably the best song in their catalog and one of my all time favorites.

Day 29
Paul Simon - Graceland
Paul Simon was influenced by African music while making this album. Play an album that was also inspired by international music.

Grace Jones "Nightclubbing" (1981 Island; 2009 reissue)
Recorded at Compass Point Studios in Nassau, this one has a ton of island and international influence, with Sly & Robbie doing the rhythm section and French musician Wally Baradou adding his keys. Plus there's the Argentinian origin of Libertango.

Thanks @Turbo for being the Phil Collins to my Lionel Richie!

Not sure this is actually considered international since they are building off of their own heritage. But today's prompt did remind me that Los Lobos may have helped on it, but are no fans of Graceland.
