I don’t know this one real well. I’m sure I’ve listened to it, but I don’t remember it.
Can't tell if you're being serious or not..... If so, this would be quite a hot take. Especially considering the track that it follows on the album.I'll see your hot take and raise you a "Strawberry Swing is in the running for their best song."
Not that weird of a take on Viva la Vida. They have only 3 good albums that I'd rank:Poor Coldplay. Made two great albums to start and get a lot of hate (as usual for my weird everything… I think Viva La Vida is fantastic and their best work)
Heresy! Burn them all!!There are way more than two versions. lol.
@Joe Mac may have some thoughts. It's my sincerely held belief, so you're not allowed to say anything discriminatory to me about it.
I already texted my wife who despises that song. So, starting...now.It's my sincerely held belief, so you're not allowed to say anything discriminatory to me about it.
It is definitely from that change in bands being singles oriented to album focusedHaving given the Byrds a listen last night, I can 100% understand why this was here. 1966 and psychedelia. Much less popular psychedelia. It’s a weird album though. Uneven is how I would describe it.
I enjoyed the psychedelic rock tracks much more than the folky tracks.Having given the Byrds a listen last night, I can 100% understand why this was here. 1966 and psychedelia. Much less popular psychedelia. It’s a weird album though. Uneven is how I would describe it.

I’ve never listened to this album. I’m not all that hip on Me Oldham, honestly.
I knew the title track because:
Also @Indymisanthrope once gave me a Oldham record that I love. Maybe this will inspire me to dig deeper.
