The original has all kinds of extra stuff in the gatefold from a poster and promo photos to copies of contracts, letters from venues cancelling their shows due to unruly crowds and bills for damaged and/or stolen equipment. Kinda interesting to sift through.

I think Pete is a better vocalist than Roger conveying much more depth and emotion.

I think Pete has more gravitas…. So I agree with you soul wise. Daltrey is just a great voice though.

Most of my favorite rock vocalist have distinct voices but probably wouldn’t qualify as a great vocalist in a traditional sense.

it’s a weird dynamic when the lead singer isn’t the focal point of the band. Elton John and Meat Loaf didn’t write their best songs either but they were always the main focus. Daltrey was, in some ways, behind not only Townsend but also Keith Moon which makes for a unique dynamic.

This is one of the best live albums that never really gets any mention. The Who were at the height of their live powers from 69-75.
Pete and Keith and just blistering here. The whole Tanglewood show is top shelf...
