A superb debut. "Psycho Killer" is one of the all-time singles in new wave/post-punk. Perfect parts funky and bizarre.

Obviously a classic. However, when I go looking for a Talking Heads album to listen to, it's not one I reach for very often. It's a great post punk album but they have more interesting albums in their discography. Still a 4/5 for me though.

So for those that don’t know. In 2016 a man accused Afrika of abusing him as 15 yo in 1980. Bambaataa denied it and the other accusers, but then stepped down from his leadership role in the Zulu Nation. Melle Mel confirmed the stories in 2021, stating that everyone in the Bronx knew.

Yeah, Unfortunately he gives me a bit of the Michael Jackson and Gary Glitter ick when I hear is music now which is a shame since he has a lot of absolute bangers.
