The Official Needles and Grooves 1001 Album Generator Project (aka Preachin’ about the Preachers if today’s selection sucks)

I remember quite liking Slipknot's first album back in the day.

There was quite a buzz about them, articles in magazines and online speculating over whom the band member's actually were, they had an air of mystery about them, Much better than Corey Taylor thinks this and Mick Thompson says that and listen to Jim from Slipknot play such and such in the studio.

This is peak Slipknot.

3 / 5 stars.

Peak… meh… not usually complementary

I only know Dreadlock Holiday and that's because I don't like Cricket, oh no, I love it!

I have heard of this record, though, might be a worthy point to jump back in with the 1001 album listen. I've tried on and off for a while now, but the record of the day has never appealed to me.

I'm pretty sure I've listened to that one before so I'll count it. I skimmed around it. I get the idea. "Wait and Bleed" chorus is catchy the rest of the album is "meh" at best.
The other album was at least interesting. This one was straight garbage. Kid Rock and Slipknot make a good argument for Divine Comedy having a place on the list.
