This band made so many excellent albums. This is their mainstream era masterpiece.

This sounds way better over speakers than it did on headphones last night. I know this is usually the case but this is like a lot better. I’m guessing it’s a sound signature thing.

To borrow from a certain R.E.M. podcast, this album is a C+, S.C.C.! My 2nd favorite REM album (Life's Rich Pageant being #1). Easy 5/5.

I was going to say this too. Can't get enough of that show. Would like some more live REM on wax. Lifes Rich Pageant my favourite too. Think this would be top 5 along with Murmur, New Adventures and maybe Reckoning.

Love The Mekons. Jon Langford is very prolific and varied in style almost but not quite to the degree of NY. Mekons have gone in a number of directions, all good. Jon's songs are always smart, interesting and bathed in dark humor more times than not. I'm guessing this is their only entry?

I've heard of The Mekons before but never really listened to them, and yeah, this is good! Kinda sounds like a mix between Dexy´s and a less sinister The Gun Club.
