Day 10 - Don’t Shoot The Piano Player
Spin a record that features phenomenal ivory tickling
Billy Joel - The Stranger

This on is an obvious choice I know, but my folks loved Billy Joel thus I love The Piano Man too. The Stranger is the only Joel record I own and arguably his best. The whole LP plays like a “Greatest Hits” . This is a white label promo version.

Ben Folds Five - Whatever and Ever Amen

Ben has been known to tickle a few ivories. And even though today's topic is for piano players I have to say that I absolutely love Darren Jessee's drumming on this record. He seems to always serve the song so well; restrained and delicate when he needs to be, and brings nice power other times. And man he has some sneaky awesome fills throughout.

Day 10: Don’t Shoot the Piano Player

Aretha Franklin - I Never Loved a Man the Way I Loved You

Aside from being a fantastic vocalist, Aretha was also a pretty great pianist. “Do Right Woman-Do Right Man” & her rendition of “A Change is Gonna Come”, my favourite songs on this album, highlight both of those traits perfectly!

Day 9 - This Ones A Grower

Probably not a popular opinion, but it took me YEARS to appreciate this album. I just always preferred Tigermilk and Boy With The Arab Strap.
I am a Tigermilk guy too. Not that I ever disliked If You’re Feeling Sinister, both are damn near perfect in my opinion but if I had to pick one it’d probably be Tigermilk.

Day 11 - early 2000s indie

Tomte - Hinter All Diesen Fenstern

I lived in Germany for a good part of the 2000s and got into a few local bands. Tomte might be my favourite; its singer Thees Uhlmann has had a decent solo career too. This is from 2003 and is a little Oasis inspired and great. I don't listen to much indie these days but this brings the sweaty nostalgia back.
