Day 6 - RIP King Tubby
Burn a fatty Dub, Reggae. or Rocksteady record

I should listen to more Dub. I love the danceable decay and ghostly rhythms from the heavy echoing reverb. The Scientist was obviously one of The Godfather of the Dub scene so this felt like the record to spin.

The Clash - London Calling

To my great shame I don't have any reggae or dub on vinyl, so I'll spin the record that introduced me to that world (and many others). And I guess "Guns of Brixton" is pretty much a reggae tune!

You could do a helluva lot worse.

Yeah, I just got the Rhino reissue of London Calling this past Christmas from my SO. I have an OG copy of Combat Rock but that’s it so far as far as The Clash go. I Definitely need to expand there a bit.
Same, but I only have London Calling. They were my favourite band for most of my early teen years, so I've got to fill it out a bit.

Popcaan - Where We Come From (Mixpak, 2015 First Pressing)

I picked this up at the Red Bull Culture Clash, an event at London's 02 Arena which saw 4 crews competing with the crowds reaction declaring the winners. The Reggae titans Mixpak won the event and Popcaan threw his hat into the crowd and I caught it. Great night!
