Easily the best solo Beach Boys Album. Everyone who knows about The Beach Boys knows the tormented genius of Brian Wilson but Dennis the “black sheep” middle child had some demons of his own. He is responsible for some of The Beach Boys best Post-Pet Sounds songs. His solo music continued down that same brilliant path and was his creative outlet during a time when The Beach Boys had devolved from innovators to merely a nostalgia act.
Yeah, I found a copy at Half Priced Books it’s really clean. They wanted wayyy too much for it (I think it was originally listed for $40) but it was one of those “40% off any one item” sales so it was much more reasonable at $24. They did a RSD release of Bambu a few years back that is pretty great too. I think it is super affordable currently on the discogs.Idk how I don't own this one as it's one of my favorites!
I have the Bambu release. I think I was going to buy the MOV pressing at one point, but than decided to wait it out and find an original copy. Just haven't come across one since, but at least now I can remember to look out again.Yeah, I found a copy at Half Priced Books it’s really clean.
