The Roost - All things Animal Crossing: New Horizons for Nintendo Switch

I’ll be mostly afk but I’ve got my gates open if you want to come visit, I’ve dropped a bunch of recipes on the ground so take what you’d like and feel free to shake any cherry’s off the trees. Oh, I also have that crazy camel rug dealer on island today.

I’m on your island now. Love the music room in your house haha. I never get any of that cool stuff in my shops! I just have the hi-fi stereo. I also can’t find any main kitchen appliances so far.

My buddy got some NFC tags online awhile ago. I believe you can download Amiibo NFC files on some sites and put them on those and scan them with your switch if you really want to get certain people!
I'm intrigued. How does this work exactly?

Open your gates and I can drop them on your island, then you pick them up and drop them again so that you can purchase what you want from your ATM in Mr. Nooks shop.

Amiibos are essentially toys with NFC chips inside. You should be able to google NFC tag amiibo and find some leads. I think it's easier if you have an android phone, but people have downloaded the code from amiibos and uploaded that code to certain websites (forget which but a quick google should let you find them). Then you download the code, transfer it to the NFC tags and scan with your Switch. I remember it was a big thing with BOTW since people couldn't find the Zelda amiibos anywhere. My buddy bought some tags on either amazon or ebay and did it. I remember it was pretty cheap at the time.

Really, really wishing I hadn't tossed all the Animal Crossing amiibo cards I had (I think I tossed them at least, I have no idea where they would be).

It's the only way to guarantee a villager you really want and now they're selling for a TON on ebay.

Anybody have Kid Cat, Goose, Curt, Phoebe or Lily and would be willing to part with them? lol

My wife and I bought all of the AC amiibo figures when Amiibo Festival came out, and they also worked with Happy Home Designer. We also have 43 of the amiibo cards but I don't think we'd be willing to part with any of them.

I am also looking for Olivia. Just putting that out there 👀

I've logged 35 hours now. And finally ran into Gulliver. We all agree he ate a mushroom (or pot) pizza and tripped out right? Like in SE Asia- they sell mushrooms (and weed) on pizza and call them "happy" pizzas.

And when you first wake him he mumbles something about pizza then "how'd I get here?" Then mentions something about licking all the cookies and tasty hallucinations.

I'm not imagining things right?

That gull crazy.

I'm thinking of opening our island for a set amount of time tomorrow. What does everybody need?

I've got three different turntables (portable, old-fashioned and high-end). I also have green and white record boxes.

I have now basically been transferring my real life record collecting into the game by buying a new KK album (theme) every day.

Also the past two nights there have been a couple of residents singing in the plaza which has been delightfully weird.

Tbh. When I am playing Animal Crossing it's because I want to be playing something I can put music under. For example, today I "watched" youtube videos of NIN live @ Woodstock 94' and Radiohead: Live From the Basement while resource gathering. And now, I'm on a Mars Volta kick while, wait for it, resource hunting.
