The Taproom (aka Anything and Everything Beer)

I love Pliny the Elder, and haven't tried the Younger, would love it! So jealous as this never makes it East.
I personally prefer the Elder (and the ease of grabbing bottles of it a block from my apt) but the Younger is definitely worth trying one day!

Younger comes to Philly every year. Monk's Cafe (Monk's Café - On Tap) I know gets it every year and has a tapping event for it. They also usually have Elder and Blind Pig year round. Other bars in the city will get kegs sometimes around the release date. Two years ago was my first time having it. I had one at Monk's but also lucked out that the bar I stopped in after work sometimes had just gotten a keg on one of my random pop ins.

Yeah, Philly is the only east coast city I've seen Russian River so it makes sense that Monk's Cafe would get it. Too bad I live 4 plus hours from Philly and have small children, so I can't just go there.

It's a great place to visit for a family vacation when the kids are a little older. Maybe not in mid-late February though.

Double Dry Hopped Pliny The Elder @ Stone Gardens Escondido. I'm much closer to Stone Liberty Station (and my daughter used to work at that location, miss the free beer she'd bring home), but I was in the neighborhood, and was pleasantly surprised to find this on tap. We also had the Stone Sublimely Self Righteous Black IPA and the Stone Lupulin Loop w/ Simicoe, but this was the big winner.

Beautiful venue that doesn't look like it's the middle of an industrial park, even though it is.

Thanks Toronto fam for the recommendations! @Mather, @jamieanderson1968, @BjorgenFjorgen - hit up some of the spots y'all recommended.

Stopped at Steam Whistle for a quick one since we were down by CN Tower anyways.

Next we went to Mill St, again not because we searched it out, but because it was close to where we were touristing in the distillery district.

After some more generic tourist activities we made our way to Mascot since it was right by our hotel, where we had our nightcap before calling it a night.

Today we went to Rotate This and then to Bellwoods, whose taproom is currently being renovated so just bought some to-go beers. From there we walked to Burdock for a drink. Their A La Dock was fantastic. Got some more to-go beers and headed to Blood Brothers for our last stop. After a few pints and some more to-go beers, we are back at the hotel again.

Overall, great trip and really like the city!!

Flight at Fall Brewing in San Diego on Memorial Day. One of my favorite places and glad to say they did the pandemic right (unlike a few other brewers in town). Was good to see them at capacity again. Worth a visit as they have tons of old concert posters on the walls. Minutemen, Cramps, RFTC, Bad Brains, Drive Like Jehu and more. Lots of music related beers as you can see from the list below too.

1. Cold Day In Hell IPA
2. End of the World! Hazy IPA
3. This is Not My Beautiful Wife Hazy IPA
4. Moving in Stereo IPA
5. Goo Goo Muck IPA
