My main point is that moving somewhere else outside of the US, including somewhere with zero infrastructure, still might actually be cheaper than the countries with larger tariffs AND cheaper than setting up shop in the US.

Definitely considering front loading DAC and cart purchases I was considering for later in the year to avoid these potential tariff driven price increases.
Klipsch Heritage are built in the US, but I think the drivers/crossovers use imported parts, so I expect their price to increase a bit.
I'd expect the price to increase more than the tariffs on imported electronic parts. The US heavily imports MDF, which is the primary material used to manufacture Klipsch speaker cabinets. South America has become a dominant supplier, with Chile overtaking Canada as the largest foreign MDF supplier to the U.S. The administration imposed a 10% baseline tariff on imports from Chile.
Yeah I really had no intention of buying a pair of Klipsch Fortes IVs this week. Like, none. Was really hoping to wait on this. But Canada's counter tariffs include US speakers. So that's 25% extra on anything that isn't already on Canadian soil. These have been on my list for a long time but there is zero chance I buy them at a 25% premium so with only 3 pair in Ontario in Walnut currently... it forced my hand.
Yeah I think there will be a quick hit of purchases to try to get under the wire before everyone kinda cools off on big stuff. Thankfully this is pretty much it for quite a while for me on components. Just need some small stuff like a media rack and some speaker cables etc going forward. Pretty much have everything in place for the foreseeable future at this point.Looks like luxury durable goods will get a boost this month as affluent buyers try to get ahead of tariffs. Mather bought lovely walnut Forte IV speakers and all I got was a cheap Swiss watch!

Yeah it'll work in either spot. Honestly I wanted the Cherry but they discontinued it and I didn't want to hold out to find a used pair. I really can't believe of all the colours that's the one they decided to drop.

Haha I haven't yet gotten one of those but I think stores are scrambling. When I inquired about the Forte IV the store immediately offered me 25% off list. Which equals only about $4000 usd total. That's crazy cheap up here for that speaker.
