Which is weird because they have SO many albums priced at insane amounts. Like $125 for a repress of Tyler the Creator's "Wolf"?!Yeah Kops are not good with that stuff.

FIFY
They're pricing is decent.FIFY
There was a wider release of that one a little while back, may be worth checking the reviews on it.
I mean, this SHOULD be my general strategy when dealing with VMP from now on as it's now more frequent that a wide release is coming sometime in a six month timeframe.wide release suits me fine
Oh you're absolutely right on this. They have definitely lowered the prices and I'm feeling more comfortable buying from them, rather than going in and pricing things at Kops as I find stuff.I'll also give credit where credit is due, Sonic seems to have lowered some of their prices in general and while I certainly wouldn't say they're on the lower end of the scale, if you compare prices across Sonic, Dead Dog, Kops, Pop Music etc... Sonic is tending to fall in the middle somewhere now. Whereas a year ago they were by far the most expensive.

Yeah even on Mofis, stuff like Weezer and whatnot is $59 and maybe less than a year ago those 1 LPs would have been in the $70+ range.Oh you're absolutely right on this. Like, I had Danny Brown in my hand ready to buy and while Kops didn't have it, they were about 15-20 cheaper than Amazon.
Yeah and I also wanna say that I THINK they're paying more for used items now too. I'm almost certain they were more like 35% of cogs median fairly recently. I almost never sell anything but the couple times I did in the past I'm pretty sure they weren't even close to 50% cogs value.Ok, its not just me that noticed this.
I'm noticing though, that it's gotten steadily busier over the past year, to the point where lineups are around the main floor when I go on a weekend. Maybe the sale volume is allowing them to be a bit more lenient with their prices as they're now making enough to cover that prime real estate they're sitting on.Yeah even on Mofis, stuff like Weezer and whatnot is $59 and maybe less than a year ago those 1 LPs would have been in the $70+ range.
Yes it's definitely busy and this is certainly a possibility. But whatever the reason I can't remember the last time I saw anyone lower prices on anything so it's nice to see. Especially since it's arguably the nicest and largest vinyl shop in town.I'm noticing though, that it's gotten steadily busier over the past year, to the point where lineups are around the main floor when I go on a weekend. Think Swifties are single handledly driving prices down.
Yeah, it is definitely my favorite shop to browse. I could spend hours there.Yes it's definitely busy and this is certainly a possibility. That Yaz album I bought at like $40 from them was as crazy as I get with Mofi purchasesSide note, they actually have the Mofi silver label repress of the Santana III album and it's $46. That's a steal.
Haha yeah back when it was at Bathurst and Bloor inside Honest Eds.
Wait....was it!?Haha yeah back when it was at Bathurst and Bloor inside Honest Eds.
It was inside Ed's on Bathurst and then it was also on Bloor on the north side just east of Bathurst.Wait....was it!?
Should've known. Had the same feel, but I guess that's what I wasn't able to put my finger on. I may have been to Honest Eds like 3 times in my life, and Sonic Boom wasn't there to my knowledge either time.
