The picks are a little of a heafscratcher for me. How on earth can you tell "The story of Herbie Hancock" without a Miles record and a Mwandishi era record? Also, as others have noted, Takin Off is a bit of a letdown. Not only because it recently had a AAA reissue, but also because it isn't the most interesting album out of his Blue Note era.

I’m feeling a little bit mixed on this Boxset actually. I need to listen to 1+1 to see if I like that album! I wanted more Herbie Hancock fusion era kinda albums. And the one we got is the one I have an AP pressing of.....

I would switch Takin Off and 1+1 for Plugged Nickel and Sextant any day. IMO that would be a far more solid box.

Definitely would’ve switched Takin’ Off for Sextant! That would’ve made this Boxset an instant grab for me!

Right now, I’m not sure if I want to buy this Boxset!

Give it a swerve. It'll be fine. They're just records... A massively, massively underwhelming set of records.
