I'm trying to think about what I got from Amazon recently....

I got the Tom Petty complete studio albums box recently from Amazon and that was packaged really well.
I think the last single LP I ordered from them was the most recent Josh Ritter and that came in something to VMP packaging

Checks out. I spoke with my mom earlier and she said all packages arrive in great condition at her house.

When does Amazon do this? As long as I've ordered from them, I've gotten LPs in nearly the same packaging that VMP stuff comes in.

When it happens, it seems to be from Amazon Warehouse for me. Luckily has only happened once or twice and I got my money back. I wish I had a picture, but they sent me a Courtney Barnett album just by slapping the shipping label on the shrink wrap of the record and throwing it in the mail. Somehow the album arrived unscathed but the corners were obviously all dinged. My mailman handed it to me shaking his head and said "wasn't us this time..."hah.

I also ordered a record from Guitar Center of all places since there used to be one near me (couldn't pass up an Arcade Fire album for $7 shipped to store). I showed up to the store to pick it up and this dude lugs out a box that was probably 24" square. I had to open it in store to make sure it was the right thing. They had thrown the album into a gigantic box with a few of those styrofoam cheetos hah.

Think right now we are waiting to see if they are making us mail back the initial copies...there's no time table on when the represses occur either but I'm guessing 2 months or so before we see them.

Yeah, I guess that is the smartest thing to do. If anyone do ends up with 2 copies of Wayne (or even Lou for those who got 2 shipments), I'll be happy to buy them.

Just had a chance to double-check my Shorter pressing. The side with the "SIDE 2" label has the matrix in the deadwax scratched out from an A to a B yet it's definitely side A hah. I like the little touch of them crossing it out though.

I deleted the post it was all snark some of it at me personally and was no longer worth the negativity and has me questioning the friendliness of this forum to anyone who says anything positive about VMP anywhere that isn’t a VMP thread, nvm I included criticism in the post. Not happy and thinking about how I what to proceed with this forum which is a shame. This has been a great community for me but that was quite ugly and kept going. I know I was a responsible party in a recent dust up but if that qualifies me for that type of treatment going forward I don’t want to stay as there have been a few other instances too.

That really sucks. I know I speak for many others here, but it would be a huge bummer to lose your voice/wit//charm/knowledge on the forum. As @ByersVinyl mentions above - take a break and remember, “ignore” is your friend

This came from a misunderstanding which annoys me the most. If people are gonna act like this every time VMP is mentioned outside of their specific threads its gonna be a weird forum.
