The fact that VMP chose The Silvertones over Toots and the Maytals as their ROTM still just absolutely boggles my mind. Sweet & Dandy was the one to do and they whiffed.

I do love that Silvertones album though. I wasn’t around when it first dropped wasn’t there a controversy with it?

Ummm I don’t think so. But can’t remember. I do remember them saying they had a pick of a few records (including the 2 they picked as sclusies) and decided on Silvertones because idk why.

If I recall Trojan basically gave Storf keys to their back catalog the could choose whatever he wanted and went with this because he was not familiar with it and it hadn’t been reissued. Then we gotta a couple Desmond Dekkar and the Toots as tied in exclusives.

Yeah, I think I purchased if off of some bargain Amazon Seller that VMP set up under their official company name for like $14. I am happy I have it though I am glad I didn’t use up a ROTM pick on it.

This code expires on 26th correct? I think that’s ROTM announce day so that makes sense. I might wait and see if anything interesting drops next week before using it.
