Vinyl Me Please Classics

Give em hell. That looks like my last package. They initially said “these things happen” I told them I was going to return them at my own experience, then file a claim through PayPal, then cancel my subscription, I told them they packaged the albums poorly and I paid for NM/NM and the jacket IS PART OF THE ALBUM. After, that they agreed to send me new albums.

They tried this with me on my last damaged Loretta Lynn. Told them I wouldn't have bought from a record store like this so what makes them think I'd buy it from them like this. They sent a replacement.

This was my final straw. I'm not going through the hassle every month to get what I paid for. Especially now that everything is a preorder of a preorder.

Got Lukas Nelson a few days ago, and it felt great knowing I'm not dealing with them anymore.

But it’s not Disco is it? At least not on the album tracks. There are disco remixes of some tracks.
Track 1 sounds pretty disco to me...disco funk maybe, but disco nonetheless
The guitar solo at the end of Track 4 is pretty rough too
And those slow jam porno soundtracks are not my thing either.

I don't mean to dump on an album that others seem to enjoy, I just really look forward to Classics every month so I get salty on those rare occasions where the pick is a miss for me. I know some people got a bit burned out on Stax Me, Please but we haven't had a 60's era soul album since November and I just strongly prefer that stuff over 70s soul like the Isleys or Nat Turner, etc.

60's - 70's It's all good here! We like what we like though.

It is trending in that dance/disco direction. I love this though.

So my kids typically cross their arms and sit when I try to get them to dance, but when I put the Bobo record on this evening, they had a dance party until the end of side B. This has made me think that maybe this record is more exciting than I had initially thought. Or maybe it’s because they’re loaded on free Slurpees.

Yes, I believe the original release wasn’t gatefold so they just left it blank for this release.
Yeah original release was just a single LP and wasn't a gatefold. I think the standard copy from Now and Again is a cheaper single outer jacket that holds both records like the other lightmen releases are. Can you even do a tip-on single jacket and hold more than one record? I imagine how stiff they are means to hold a double LP album it has to be a gatefold.
