Understatement of the year
When they’re good they’re good but at the new prices, filler like It’s Magic or the Frederick Knight album are hard to stomach.

Of course the month after my sub ends has fire picks across the board!
Yeah September is one of the better months they have had in a long time. I might be in for all 4 tracks...Of course the month after my sub ends has fire picks across the board!

I haven't listened to Judgements but Take Twelve is absolutely fantastic.Seems like an exciting string of classics, never listened to Justments of Take Twelve. Gonna have a fun day of music!
Ayy! That makes me so happy, congrats!I haven't listened to Judgements but Take Twelve is absolutely fantastic.
What's great is that it's one of his lesser-known albums but still packs some heat.
On a selfish note, I have almost all of Lee Morgan's albums on vinyl, with the tricky to find ones ticked off, and the ones that I am missing are from his later period......including Take Twelve! I've been hoping for VMP to reissue one of his albums as a Classic so I'm over the moon with this.
Don't be fooled, they will let you down again.I take back everything I said earlier about VMP
Very possible but just picked up Sonny Sharrock in swaps, Bill Withers next month, some A-list hip-hop coming up and haven’t even listened to Beverly Glenn Copeland yet.Don't be fooled, they will let you down again.
So they’re definitely back in my good books.Very possible but just picked up Sonny Sharrock in swaps, Bill Withers next month, some A-list hip-hop coming up and haven’t even listened to Beverly Glenn Copeland yet.
I only thought he was a New Age artist. I’ve contemplated picking up his Keyboard Fantasies album which is quite good: Beverly Glenn-Copeland - Keyboard Fantasies. Bundle - LP + Cassette + Flexi. Mwandishi. Please. Make it happen Storf.Per Storf: "We don’t have any plans to repeat artists in Essentials, but in our other Tracks, we’re definitely open to doing the same artist more than once."
Yay the possibility of more Miles and Herbie in Classics.
Storf's favorite Herbie album is Monster. I am dead fucking serious.Mwandishi. Please. Make it happen Storf.
I can’t even begin to wrap my head around that. How do you listen to any of his albums from the 60’s to mid 70’s and say “Nah, Monster is my favorite.”Storf's favorite Herbie album is Monster. I am dead fucking serious.
Of course the month after my sub ends has fire picks across the board!
