This is why I hate streaming, especially jazz. I find the mastering, even when lossless really flattens the sound so it just slips into the background.Impulse-era Coltrane with his classic quartet is must-buy always IMO. Rule of thumb. Sun Ship is great.

I can only play these types of records when the wife is not home.Been listening to Sun Ship all week--I think I'm in, even though I'll never be able to play it when the wife is home. If I successfully swap my country track for Frances the Mute, she's not gonna want to come home all month.
