I’m sure this will also get endlessly played in the background of Thanksgiving next month too. Kind of a perfect album for sounding pleasant and not critically listening to.

My inlaws are coming over for Thanksgiving and these were my thoughts exactly. Brubeck is such a crowd pleaser, I'll likely have this in rotation with Time In and Time Further Out.

December Classics is blues, and January was hinted at being a probably 60s or 70s soul album

...Also they're gonna be AAA pressings from now on for the foreseeable future except for I think either the March or April classics (idr which) won't be all-analog.

Bobby Bland’s Two Steps from the Blues in a high quality AAA reissue would be much appreciated. Though if we are going anniversary, 1959’s Down and Out Blues from Sonny Boy Williamson II would be cool. Both albums are essentially compilations though.

I don't know if I'd consider Hound Dog Taylor a legendary guitarist, so that's probably out. BUT, I've asked Storf fa couple times for Magic Sam - West Side Soul, so I can dream...



Also, BB King is THE legendary Blues guitarist...

Would be super happy with Albert King, but Born Under A Bad Sign is pretty ubiquitous. Their was a mass Craft reissue a couple years ago (I have it - it's really good), the Speaker's Corner audiophile version last year, and the Mono RSD version this year.

Would love Year's Gone By or I'll Play the Blues for You though.
