I pretty sure I took this photo the second time I saw it because I couldn't unsee the groove and thought I really need to have a record of this

Agreed and it sounds like I like the album more than you do hah. It’s a record you can get for $15. And I don’t even think it’s their best album.Look this may be my most unpoplular post ever but im going to say it- Phoenix is a decent band but no way in hell im paying $30 for a copy of Wolfgang, nor do I feel it is "essential" in any stretch of the word
It’s a good album, but kind of an uninspired choice and not really thinking outside the box. It’s something I’d certainly pay 15 bucks for and may order this month somewhere else.Agreed and it sounds like I like the album more than you do hah. It’s a record you can get for $15. I seem to recall there being a rant on Twitter by a VMP employee about why they don’t include download codes. It boiled down to “if you want to listen to it on digital, then why are you buying the record?” I’m guessing it costs more for VMP as well.
My LNT Floating Points didn’t have one and their label always includes one.
I did, glad you’re enjoying it!Unrelated.. did you send me that Phosphorescent PIF? Came in yesterday and it sounds good, a record weight actually worked to reduce the warp on it too, so thank you!
As for Phoenix, auto swap for me.

I'll keep Phoenix because I like the album and don't yet own it on vinyl. I'll agree that given the clues and all the possibilities earlier in the month, it's a bit disappointing. I don't know how much I'll spin this given I burned myself out on it when it came out. Maybe having it on vinyl will reconnect me with it.
Yeah, the brain geniuses over there didn't seem to understand that wanting to listen to something on vinyl and to have the option to listen to it digitally weren't mutually exclusive. I remember every time the topic came out they were pretty condescending about it.I seem to recall there being a rant on Twitter by a VMP employee about why they don’t include download codes. I assume it’s up to the labels, not VMP, since they’re the ones who are paying for the bandwidth to provide the files. Most labels would rather encourage folks to stream the album so they can continue to claim royalties. Download codes cost the label, with no additional revenue to cover costs.Yeah, the brain geniuses over there didn't seem to understand that wanting to listen to something on vinyl and to have the option to listen to it digitally weren't mutually exclusive. I mean, couldn't you just pick up a black vinyl copy for half the price? There is certainly no real remaster that it could benefit from.
It's a concern as well, because the exclusives have been selling out quicker over the past few months as well - though the axing of the forum likely will slow down the sellouts on those items. There was a huge drop in their pressing runs for November/December of last year forward. What's interesting to me and I haven't seen anyone mention it yet is that with the lesser amount of printed ROTMs (many recent picks are 'sold out'), it means that your swaptions are now even more limited.. and basically limited to previous ROTMs that nobody wanted (hyperbole, but you get the point) ... doesn't that scare future subscribers off or people thinking about renewing?
