Vinyl Me Please Essentials

Been enamored with Songs For The Deaf, spinning it daily. Where should one head next in the Queens Of The Stone Age discography? I need more.

I see Rated R referenced a lot...

I’m going to chip in and say Rated R is their best album with this one second. Essential listening. Their eponymous debut and ...Like Clockwork are worth a shot too. The other 3 are at a much lower level but have the odd decent track and are by no means bad if you get curious.

Agreed. Rated R and SFTD are on another level.

Umm can I buy these? Where can I buy these.

The homage to the '92 Marvel cards is unreal
At this point your best bet would probably be eBay. If you gotta good comic book shop nearby you could check there too. Ed Piskor did a few (three, I believe) graphic novels on the history of hip hop for Fantagraphics a while back. Then for the first time ever they decided to release monthly single issues. I believe it was only a 12 issue run (I collected them all plus a Kanye variant and a Free Comic Book day issue) I love Piskor’s retro styling. He is currently working with Marvel on a his “Grand Design” series which is kinda like Hip Hop Family Tree in that tells the history of The X-Men and Fantastic Four.

They thought shutting the thread down would slow down complaints. They have now given me a channel that I can use exclusively for complaining to their staff directly 🙃

Edit: here's some more info. It was cut by an assistant. Sounds like the assistant deserves to have his name promoted, because he did do good work.

Yeah I don’t care too much who cut it because it does sound great but if his assistant cut it from his notes then it still isn’t wrong to say CB was the mastering engineer. The assistant should be named right below as “assistant mastering engineer” but maybe that’s not how it works? Either that or they printed the sleeves before the lacquers were cut. Good job with the mastering either way.

I replied in SH and basically asked for that same info. Said it was great and asked it he could shout out the assistant to elevate his name/career.

It's not rare. Some of the "Name" record producers are like, managers, supervisors who oversee a team. BG probably can't himself master everything that has his name on it in a given year, well he probably could but then you'd call it Rainbo.
