Vinyl Me Please Essentials

You bet your Squirrel Nut Zipper we did!
I was actually really into the music we had this club in Philly that was down a gross alley but inside it was this really beautiful swing club . Saw squirrel nut, BBVD, Dem Brooklyn Bums, Royal Crown Review and a bunch others .My wife tried to get me to learn to swing dance and I was so awful that I got frustrated and stopped listening to it.

I was in Junior High school at the time but I really enjoyed the movie Swingers and learned swing dancing during PE class.

I saw Big Bad Voodoo Daddy in Toronto the year Swingers came out, the stand up bass player came over after the show and hit on my sister and Jon Favreau was there and full on couples swing dancing in front of the stage with a woman who looked exactly like but wasn't Heather Graham.

Man Swingers brings back some good memories , I saw that movie the day me and my wife got our 1st apt then we got Martinis drove to AC got a steak dinner more martinis and won enough money to buy. a money green leather sofa.

Seriously, all the rich kids that would bully us in high school were OBSESSED with this guy. Liking him was a sign that you were a part of the in-crowd. Hearing those old songs makes me viscerally ill.

God I'm OOOOLD.
I'm like Foo Fighters in the "Run" video old.

It seems like when most of the forum were choosing which table to sit at in the Cafeteria based on which pop culture celebrity they identified with...I was in Law School.
Hell, I was a 6th year attorney who had moved from Boston to the NYC because I needed some diversity in my life and had been living with my then girlfriend, now wife, for a full year when Johnny Boy foisted Continuum on the High Schoolers of the world.

Gotta keep that shit in mind when throwing my thoughts and opinions around here.
Context is everything..right.
I mean...
I think it’s hard for people to understand that didn’t go [through the same shit you did].

Fuck...where is my walker?
