Vinyl Me Please Essentials

not necessarily $27 for your main sub.you get credit for how much you paid for that main sub for ex. i paid 3 month sub at $60 so for 1 month swap for credit i got a $20 credit.which kind of sucked for me since you can't buy anything for just $20 but i understand you get what you pay for.it worked out for me tho since they dropped a store exclusive i really wanted and the $20 credit really helped on that purchase tho i still had to come out of pocket.
Right--I should have specified that I was using a regular US 3 month subscription as my example.

It’s been going toward that direction for some time now. A lot of people abused the lax return policy and VMP has made their policy toward replacements more and more strict (remember the “dime” policy anybody?). I don’t think they have ever accepted returns but did give you a refund or sent a new copy no questions asked early on. Which album was this for out of curiosity?

Mayer and Tyner which arrived at my door like such. I was actually very close to sending pics of the records on the platter with nickels under the wraps but decided to say fuck it. 8594B3D4-CF72-42B9-A757-3BBAA058BBE5.jpegA17A421A-F580-4D89-9DFC-0F9C17334586.jpeg

Nickels!

I bet if you asked someone else, they'd help you. Sometimes it seems like the onboarding training for CS is, try to deny them the first time and see what you can get away with. Seems like many instances on here of people getting shut down and then another person with the same complaint gets a replacement.

Oh fucks sakes yes send a picture. As mentioned above all warps effect sound eventually and they definitely affect wear on your stylus. But that is unplayable, send a pic they will replace.

Not really they have tried that shit on me in the past. You just have to come back at them. Tell them you didn’t pay a premium for a warped record and tell them you will file a claim with PayPal or your CC company and cancel your membership if they don’t do the right thing. After that magically they were able to send a replacement. The warp is a QC issue that they need to fix.

I’m going back in. WISH ME LUCK LADYS AND GENTS
I know its likely they dont care about this kind of stuff, but whenever I have an issue with a warp I take a video of it and upload it to youtube with 'Vinyl Me Please ___ Warp' as the title, then send CS the link. Its likely no one would ever see the video other than them, but if I ever got rejection after that I would plaster the link on my social media for all my tens of followers to see.

Seriously though, I have had a fair amount of replacements over the years for warps and have never had a rejection (or anything close). I bet you just got someone thats new or unexperienced with it.

" come on guys , we're having trouble enoigh sending your records out correctly, do you know how near-impossible that gets if we would also accept returns"
To be fair did they EVER accept returns? I've only ever gotten replacements or full refunds.

Definitely just push back. I've had my fair share of VMP issues in the past year or so when I was a member and if you are respectful but push back and say that's not an acceptable solution to your issue, they will likely make it better. The only worry I'd have is that Sahara got oversold I think so not sure what the status is on replacement copies right now.

I have a question for any of you guys that might have experience with CS. When they receive a replacement request from individual subscribers do they have account info on the screen to show how long you have been a member, amount of purchases, money spent etc?

The reason I ask is that if you've been a member for a few years but only put in a couple of requests then surely they should be more open to replacing and less suspicious? Im just curious how it works really.
