Vinyl Me Please Essentials

what type of ground surface should I drop the nickel on?

Hi siremobunny,

Thanks for getting in touch! This is just a quick note letting you know we got your message and we’re on it.

Our normal hours for support are Monday through Friday (except holidays), 9am - 5pm MST. We check the inbox over the weekend and try to get to the urgent stuff, but in general, we try to let our folks rest up and recharge. If you sent this in during the week, you’ll hear from us within one to two business days but most likely by the time the record you want is out of stock and we can't replace it. If you sent it during the weekend, it might be a bit longer.

If you remember anything else you meant to include in your note, or that you think is important to the question or issue you’re contacting us about, just reply to this email with the details.

We’re here to make your life more awesome and we’ll make sure to get this taken care of for you as soon as we can. Thanks so much for your patience while we do, you rule!

The VMP Team

I liked that the initial response requesting a video stated that they weren't aware of any issue when we had about 5 people from this forum report the exact same issue, most of them a day or so before I reported it 🤔

Doesn't help that its a relatively quiet track to start.

Here's my video...

Yep - that's exactly the popping that I get. I looked for a scratch too, but couldn't detect anything. I took a video this morning and am going to send it to them in a bit. I'm not sure a replacement is going to solve anything if it's this common of a problem...but maybe?

Mine seems to have a bit of a small scratch across that section of the last song. I just sent them a video as well and yes... @tonythegamer check yours because mine is just as bad. To be fair @siremobunny , I did not know about the popping until I saw it posted on here (just got a big batch of records so have been systematically working my way through listening to them) and then I contacted them last night, so it is quite possible that they didn't actually get emails until after that initial response to you. Who knows anymore though haha. Hoping they give me a copy that doesn't have it. Wouldn't be shocked if most copies have it though and people just haven't listened all the way through.

Same. Hopefully it was just a bad few and not more widespread...

I am now at my office listening to the album on headphones. That same little crackle can be heard throughout the entire side. Its just much worse in the beginning. But the problem is throughout the entire thing. I am still enjoying it and trying to ignore it until my replacement comes.

My 'orders' page says that my replacement is going out with my July ROTMs which kind of sucks. Oh well. Figures.

It's a sad state of affairs. Same nasty popping on Stars. Phoenix seems to be noisy af too. My second Nat Turner is warped worse than the first one and so is the first Outcast. They should consider rebranding to Warp Me, Please.

They really should pack the boxes with more protection for international orders. The shipping trip is so long I bet the packages are more prone to damage. Sorry to hear about your records.

Appreciate the sentiment. :) Good point on packaging. They recently stopped with the bubble wrap altogether. Would be great if that came back.

Getting new copies of Phoenix and Classics. Was told they're going to start doing a nickel test where the warp has to be large enough to fit a nickel under.
So if i stick a nickel under my flat can I get another? Their whole approach to "resolutions" seems mind boggling. Just say no and move along if you think it's not substandard. detailed rules usually just beget more rules to clarify the rules. SMH
