Vanishing PointBy far my favorite album by them.
That would be cool but I’m not going to get my hopes up. If they are going to reissue it, I’m pretty sure it will be more widespread. I’m really hoping for a box set like Brighten the Corners though I’m not really sure what sort of B Sides and Rarities exist.Has no one mentioned Pavement - Terror Twilight ? this came out in 1999 and Pavement has been hinting on a repress for awhile..
Yeah I would assume matador would do a bigger box of some sort, but I could see them maybe doing a 2x version. I also know a few weeks back that 2022 tour was announced so maybe? That would be cool but I’m not going to get my hopes up. Yeah frankly I don’t see either of them being ROTM but who knows. Both are good but Emergency & I is a better album imo and we all know popularity doesn’t really mean a whole lot in their ROTM selections.Yeah I would assume matador would do a bigger box of some sort, but I could see them maybe doing a 2x version. People have been saying dismemberment plan, and while that is a big album in a lot of circles, I don't know how exciting that would be for a more general audience. I'm in dc and even during the last reunion, tickets were easy to come by whenever they played here post that first reunion show (and this is where they are from)
Yeah I mean to be honest the final pavement record is the only pavement record I like, I think the other pavement stuff is just...not for meYeah frankly I don’t see either of them being ROTM but who knows. This might belong in the hot takes thread. Pavement is one of my all time favorite groups and I love Terror Twilight but I would say Terror Twilight my is usually at the bottom of most fans lists but I guess if you’re not much of a fan of the band anyways maybe that makes sense.Yeah I mean to be honest the final pavement record is the only pavement record I like
Yeah every Pavement fan I talk to about that record thinks I'm being edgy, but I have felt this way since the album came out in 1999. I think Stephen is a good song writer, but I am not into slacker rock/most indie rock. But I also get why people hold that band up so highThis might belong in the hot takes thread. This is like manna from heaven for me. The more slackery the better.slacker rock/most indie rock
That said for me, front to back, Terror Twilight is a massive record, especially “Cream of Gold”.This is like manna from heaven for me. The more slackery the better.
Any of these might qualify:I am curious what VMP are categorizing as 90s Indie rock. This could give me a good belly laugh.
Any of these might qualify:
Built To Spill - Keep it like a secret
Songs: Ohio - Axxess & Ace
Ben Folds Five - Unauthorized Biography Of Reinhold Mrssner
American Football - American Football (1)
Blink 182 - Enema of the State
I’d like it to be (but it’s not):
I either already own a copy or I wouldn’t care to own a copy of all those save for Ben Folds Five. My interest would be probably piqued if that were the selection but also, I would probably just wait 4 or 5 months until a wider reissue was made available than fucking with VMP again.
Yeah, I concur. It’s pretty much perfect (from now on).If anyone is excited thinking that VMP might reissue Built To Spill - Keep it Like a Secret, just buy this readily available version. VMP won't be able to improve on it

Believe it is AAA and mastered by Kevin Gray. So yeah...don't think anyone really needs VMP/GZ to touch that title. If anyone is excited thinking that VMP might reissue Built To Spill - Keep it Like a Secret, just buy this readily available version. VMP won't be able to improve on it
