Just repeat after me.Latest "Guess Me Please" is out and it looks like Modest Mouse LCW and Sigur Ros Von are top contenders.
Motherfuckers I was out, why do you have to do this to me?
My shipment this week will decide how onboard I am. Clipse IMO was pretty decent and I have Meters on the way.Just repeat after me.

Grimes is def a pass for me if that's what it is, but fuck those are two albums I'm definitely onboard for.
Of all the Sigur Ros albums, Von is probably the least essential. In fact, I'd say it is NOT essential at all. Agaetis and ( ) would be essential albums from that band.Latest "Guess Me Please" is out and it looks like Modest Mouse LCW and Sigur Ros Von are top contenders.

Disagree but would love to hear another 4 piece (although this is probably where the clues fall off as I believe there were three members at the time of Von...the fourth joined after) from Iceland releasing an album in 1997.I don’t think Von would be considered essential.

Hmm...you're right, which doesn't take Sigur Ros out of contention...just makes it an album that recently got a high quality release.Modest mouse is 1997. Sigur ros is 1999
No word of a lie, two minutes after I wrote this the album shows up at my door like I summoned it.Homogenic by Bjork WOULD be more Essential, but the 4 members clue discounts it.
Yeah, I got screwed up on years. If it was Von I don't have it and would definitely add it to my collection. Agaetis byrjun was just re-released less than a year ago, sounds fantastic and why would I get it again? LCW I'll probably take a 1 month membership for.So it is:
Sigur Ros - Agaetis Byrjun (1999, 4 members, Iceland)
Mac Demarco - 2 (2012, 1 member, Montreal)
Modest Mouse - LCW (1997, 3 (main) members, PNW)
Whelp, I'm out. Already own all three on black vinyl that plays without right channel distortion.
I have two pressings of it, both sound fantastic and the latest is slightly better. The older one though has a locked groove though so if it didn't get a new pressing I'd totally be over this. But the fact that the band is re-releasing EVERYTHING lately and VMP is jumping on this train months later, is odd...Honestly, all the available pressings of Agaetis Byrjun (which are very easy to find) are pretty fantastic, so not sure what VMP will do to distinguish theirs other than a color variant. Would be totally cool with Mac Demarco and Modest Mouse, though.
Takk came with a 10inch, and VMP wouldn't make any money off that title because Takk has that wonderful, expensive packaging. Think it sells regularly around $40, so VMP would have to charge their members more.IMO though if they were going to do this shit, the latest pressing of Takk with the 7" would've been my pick.
Yes, sorry 10". I'm mostly talking about what Sigur Ros album out of their represses I'd consider most essential.Takk came with a 10inch, and VMP wouldn't make any money off that title because Takk has that wonderful, expensive packaging.
