Just FYI - didn't get the screen grab, but Beastie Boys was up briefly as November Essentials too. Looks like Check Your Head will be pressed on red wax, and will obviously be 2lp.
 
People are saying this is a super-weak quarter.

Iunno, right there I see one album I just recently checked out and REALLY liked, and one gap in my collection that I wasn't willing to pay $150CAD to fill. Not regretting signing back up on the 3mo, and taking the store credit for Room on Fire. There's at least two snags every month for me (aside from this coming month when I'm going to grab Nebraska and swap two tracks).

I am actually happy for the Essentials and Classics titles. I am passing on both Coleman and Bruce but the other 4 titles I will take. That I have both Beasties and Bob but hoping for a quality upgrade on them.

I DID like the Blu album but I don't think enough to get. Was my least favourite of the Blu albums I checked out last week.

Not so much a weak quarter as the upcoming Essentials picks are all truly brilliant works, and about as essential as they come. I think a lot of people are commenting on the fact that all 3 albums are already very available in the wild.

I can see at least one each month I'm in on (Bruce, TVZ or Beasties, Bob & Yusef), plus I'm excited about the Aretha Essential is swaps this month. I think these are some of the titles I've personally been most excited for. Hoping a few more represses pop up as well. Got plenty of credit to spend.
 
My only gripe is with Blonde on Blonde. The one time they pick an artist's "best" album, they do it for an album so ubiquitous that there is a joke about not owning it in a movie set in a record store. Are there any pressing details yet, specifically, any reason to think this will sound better than the version from the mono box? Also, why even do colored vinyl if the color is so boring? Idk, I'm just salty bc I'd rather they have picked a deeper cut like Desire, Planet Waves, New Morning...

Desire would have been great, and seemingly more on brand for VMP (lesser known classic).
