It’s definitely still in heavy rotation on the local alternative stations in CO. It just hasn’t aged well at all, imo. Pure nostalgia pick. It’ll definitely make a lot of people happy though to have a cool color variant.Some of the ska punk bands were in heavy rotation on the alt rock stations at the time so maybe that’s why VMP screwed that up?
The Classics track is solid and the Sturgill album needed a reissue but everything else is quite underwhelming for me. Kind of wish I didn’t re-up for these next three months. Hopefully swaps has something interesting.
I can also see some artists/labels conditioning VMP reissues on doing multiple albums from an artist. The fact that Kacey is back to back months is not ideal (and I like both albums as I already have them on vinyl)

Yeah, I was definitely thinking it was smart to secure a bunch of sign-ups before announcing these. Sublime and Kacey are probably the only ones that will attract new subscribers
I wonder if they’re planning warehouse space at their new plant? Or at least something more in the area? That’d be another reason to move a bunch of backstock now.

I don’t know what’s typical for the industry, but I do find it pretty funny that Quality Control is literally the smallest space in the building.
