Ooooooooooooooooooh yesssss! That is a spectacular instrumental album! I’ve got Fantastic Vol. 2 on vinyl but I need to grab the instrumental version on wax! That would be amazing because I’d have a spectacular Dilla instrumentals album on vinyl (not including Donuts), a spectacular Dr Dre instrumental album on vinyl and a spectacular Madlib instrumental album on vinyl! 🔥🔥🔥

Climax (Girl Shit) is one of my favourite songs of all time! All my friends know how much I love that song! The instrumental for that song in particular is 🥇💎

I don't tend to go for them but once in awhile the impulse grabs me. I'll obviously play the main tracks predominantly but sometimes can be nice to get more of a feel of the building blocks. Like going through a construction site to a large hotel while it's being built 👷‍♀️💪. There's beauty and intrigue there even if you wouldn't choose to stay in it for long relative to the finished thing!

Climax is a gem, there’s so many great ones on there though it’s hard to pick. Would love to pick that one up on wax, Labcabincalifornia (if it’s on vinyl) and Like Water For Chocolate (Nag Champa is my favorite Dilla beat ever I think)

Literally only got Labcabincalifornia on vinyl the other day, the regular version not the instrumental if it ever exists. Such a great album. I've got their first 2 albums on vinyl and cd admittedly i haven't heard much more from them. Can you recommend anything beyond?

I just took this pic because of chatter going on in the “Cafe” thread, but you can see how much I love this album! I’m not as huge on the album art compared to other album covers in my room, but I had to put it in my room because Fantastic Vol. II has a really special place in my heart! ♥

Also, how good would an instrumentals only version of Quasimoto’s The Unseen be on vinyl! 😱 The production on “Basic Instinct”, “Microphone Mathematics”, “Low Class Conspiracy” and “Come On Feet” and “Astro Black” are just something else! 🔥🔥🔥

I love the best on Nag Champa too! But what about that beat on “The Questions” and “Thelonius” on that Like Water For Chocolate album too! 💎

I think my favourite Dilla production is The Pharcyde’s “Runnin” because the beat is moody, adventurous, has a quiet boom bap quality, and is simple but so potent. It’s just so classic, I love it dearly! ♥️

Instrumentals only version of Playboi Carti’s Die Lit on vinyl would be life-changing for me, especially if it was a great pressing too! Like, holy shit! I would be melt! The production on Die Lit is seriously untouchable!

The album is 14 tracks (last track being split into two songs). If RTJ3 was trimmed down into 10 or 11 tracks, with Stay Gold, Down and Thursday In The Danger being eliminated. RTJ4 is back to 11 tracks though, like RTJ2! And those first two singles from RTJ4 are short and sharp! Got a real good feeling about this one! 😋

I get that. RTJ2 was a more cohesive offering, but I think the highs on RTJ3 were some of their highest highs but the lows just made it feel too disjointed. I'm super excited for RTJ4 going off of the first 2 singles they have dropped. The RTJ3 tour was one of the top 5 shows I've ever been to though. I'm just glad it's finally here. That hot pink 2LP package is smexy (smoking and sexy joined) as hell!

I need to try this Die Lit album again. I just couldn't get into it at all the few times I've tried. I didn't "Get It" but I trust your judgement

I saw them on that tour too. Killer Mike swallowed 3 or maybe 4 pints (no exaggeration) of Guinness in a row it was seriously impressive lol but the show itself was 🔥🔥🔥🔥

I live in Denver so I think they tried to tone down their smoking and drinking on stage to have the lung capacity to finish the show. I was swerved as all get out however.
