Vinyl Me Please Rap & Hip Hop

Haha I mean it's still pretty tight but I think I've got a few albums from VMP that are in that range. Might affect the bass a bit having the grooves that tight together though which would be a shame since it hits pretty hard.
Yeah, I don't think there would be any getting around sound quality suffering. My Costello Get Happy!! is almost that long and not bad. Rundgren A Wizard, A True Star is actually like 26/29, I think, and is passable, but not amazing by any means.

So, is this release a keeper or a skip for you? If this pressing contains the track 'Actual Facts', are you more likely to grab this Lord Finesse ROTM? Also, there is 20+ minutes on each side, so I'm guessing you're going to wait to make sure this pressing has great reviews first before you get it?

Maybe all the tracks running together and them not putting bands between them would help though. I read that's why the US Get Happy!! is worse quality.

I'm not sure yet, I do like the production and the beats in general and KRS is always great... but it's just a little... generic I guess... to me. Like, I like it, but I'm just not sure how much I would spin it. If I'm looking at that time period in NYC honestly I'd rather fill it with Black Moon "enta da stage" than Lord Finesse.

I was thinking the same thing, maybe if you just run it all together that'll save like 45 seconds a side or something. Could help.

I still need to get the 2xLP version of that Black Moon album. The cheap single LP version I had wasn't good.

VMP are incredibly dumb to not promote the fact that the hidden track is included if it is indeed included. Why keep a selling point a secret?

I wanna a review when it lands. I might do the same thing.

It's not bad. Mine is warped so it's going back. It's heavy on the bass for sure. It's kinda how the album is I guess, but I'm listening to my cd at the moment and it's a little more clear. I think it will be fine if you want to have it on vinyl. There's no surface noise or distortion. I think I'm going to try to get the MOV press, mostly because it has Dirty Dancin'

Not really on topic but Mr. Bongo is having their Summer sale and Skalap suggested Jungle Brown’s Full Circle I am not super familiar with much UK hip-hop but this album is fantastic. It’s got like an early 90s Native Tongues vibe to it and the production is phenomenal. I feel like I should have heard about it before now. Were any of ya familiar with them?
