I think VMP customer service told someone on reddit that it looked like the issue was going to get settled and they hoped they would be able to ship it in September, but obviously take all of that with a huge grain of salt.

Last I saw was the guy who recorded the album saying he didn’t think it was going to come out anytime soon or ever for that matter. I believe his quote was along the lines of “Ive held onto it for 40 years so another 20 or 30 isn’t a big issue”. The album has been produced and went to shops but got pulled. Some copies snuck out though as not all stores got the memo not to sell it haha

That sucks. It was recorded by a Janator at a high school. The NPR story about it actually piqued my interest in it. I hope they get it all worked out. It was a great story.

Seems weird to tell a fan of Ghostface that they would love this album though...outside of them being in Wu-Tang together there’s no connection. At least Legend has Ghostface on a song...

Yep. Not the VMP version but the regular black version. It was supposed to be released weeks ago and some stores got their physical copies but not all got the memo to pull it from their shelves. Seems that some shops in Europe still sold some copies before they realized it wasn’t supposed to be released. I’ll update if/when I receive it!

GZA's Legend Of The Liquid Sword is great though in my opinion, but I am praying that we get Liquid Swords as the ROTM! 🙏

I just think that VMP are really good at choosing picks when it comes the the ROTM tracks! They for the most part, do a great job and I love it! ❤

I was indifferent however, to the Future R&HH ROTM pick! I was not a fan of that pick at all and I didn't grab Future's Honest because I thought the whole album was very mediocre! 👎

Liquid Swords was repressed widely in 2018 and is easily found, sadly and Storf said this will be an overlooked album. You can hardly call Liquid swords “famously overlooked” haha. It went platinum.
