No one cares.
I'm going to guess that whatever this fucking clown is posting is just the same aimless circular logic that they usually employ and isn't worth me wasting my time on it. He literally joined the forum, because nobody wanted to listen to his corny ass on reddit, which he responded to by claiming he actually wanted to be downvoted and was hoping for downvotes, as if that didn't immediately translate into anything other than begging for attention. His only aim was to defend shady moves by VMP at the time and was, somehow, so upset by hearing others voice completely warranted dissatisfaction and asking questions, that he came here to join the forum, right in the midst of all of that, just to defend them more aggressively against people that didn't care and didn't know them. If this guy is now working overtime to defend Amazon on top of that, no thank you.
That being said, this conversation is, apparently, still happening without me in it. That's fine -- and preferred -- but even more hilarious if they have to read my posts, while I ignore theirs. VMP is bad enough to cheerlead for with how unappreciative and bumbling they are -- why would anyone take the side of a corporation against actual people in their community -- but Amazon is directly destroying the city that I fucking live in. God help us all if VMP ever finds themselves in a position to price people out of cities, destroy communities, scrape personal information from local governments, and affect policy, while Matt Fielder owns media outlets and sits on the Pentagon defense advisory board. It sucks that I have to use Amazon for emergencies sometimes, like a lot of us do, but those guys have such a direct impact on the city that I live in that it's even more difficult to separate those two realities, when I do. I'm trying to limit it. While someone might choose to dip in and out of VMP and take the risk on something when it benefits them, knowing full well that they might be setting themselves up to get screwed, Amazon makes it feel like I'm throwing the entire planet under the bus, it I order a last minute present for someone during the quarantine. Are there people out there that actually LOVE Amazon? I understand liking deals or convenience, but loving the actual company?
I just wanted to say something, really quick, since I know that people use them and I don't want to come across as shaming those people, just because I made an off hand comment about the richest man on the planet, who is firing workers over organizing for healthier working conditions. I didn't expect that viewpoint to be controversial.
