Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

Of course not! I got fired anyway because my performance wasn’t strong enough. I could keep up with the daily targets, but just lost motivation because I didn’t like the job and was like “fuck it”! ✌

I guess because I got fired, I can’t go back. But in general, if I don’t like a job and leave, I will never go back. I’ll just get another warehousing/factory job! 🤷‍♂️

Yeah, I understand how businesses need to put money over people, but at least make it fun for me. If you’re gonna make me work like a dog, let me have and blast my Bose Bluetooth Speaker whilst I’m picking with my pallet jack! So yeah, I can work like a dog, but let me listen to my music! 😂
I’m the exact same way you want me to bust my ass let me play my music and I’ll treat it like a workout, focus and get it all done . Take away my music I get distracted and Unmotivated

Hey man, if you like giving your money to the government that buys $5K hammers, be my guest. I personally do not.

If you like the fact that the unrestricted low taxation capitalism of the last 30 years has created the highest disparity between rich and poor on record and concentrated 99% of wealth in 1% of people then fine, I do not.

Oh, I totally agree but if there's enough people willing to work under those conditions what motivation does a corporation have to change? Most corporations are in the business of making money, not making people feel good about themselves.
There will always be people willing to work under those conditions. Most of the Amazon warehouse workers (Like 75%-85%) were migrants who are so grateful to have a job and are receiving a great hourly rate! It’s pretty devastating but it’s like that with those harsh warehousing/factory jobs! Whenever it’s mostly migrants, they get taken advantage of and are treated like shit! But they still are happy to have a job and earn that money! 💵

And then you have really bubbly, friendly, fun, welcoming Aussies like me who a lot of the times are seen as a threat because there’s a higher chance someone like me will speak up and say this is unacceptable. I’ve been fired because before because I’m well-spoken/strong worker and because the managers are a bit scared that I’ll influence the workers mentality etc 😔

So yeah, it’s a bit complicated! So evil! Most places aren’t like this of course, but Amazon and others I worked at are, or have that vibe!

Do we have a Libertarian thread here? Or...
I would say my political stance probably does lean that way the most, however I don't really label myself. The whole party system got us exactly where we are today. I don't see it changing any time soon, in fact it gets worse every day. I mean look at our joke of a choice for president.

Honestly if I were you I would just put him on ignore. I caught the brunt of one of his rants and almost quit this forum for good, but I realized there’s way too many cool people on here to let some arguments from one person keep me away for good.

Thank heavens you were only pump faking that you were leaving for sympathy like I suggested in my "rant." With you gone, who would be around to dismiss other members and complain that them having their own conversations about racial inequality between themselves -- something that felt really important to them -- is bumming out your experience talking about records made by people who experience it. I feel like my stance is pretty consistent: I believe that it's shitty to dismiss and silence people on a platform meant for everyone to have a voice. If someone calling you out for silencing others, makes YOU feel silenced, that's your own choice to leave rather than simply stop eye rolling, commenting, and poking at them for for speaking to each other. Instead, you made a point to let everyone know that you were going to be ignoring them -- instead of just doing it -- and then didn't. You just kept insulting them for having the discussion. When @Teeeee asked about if a company making a large portion of their money on the backs of work by people of color were going to speak up about the current social movements surrounding racial inequality, you responded that you want to know if they are going to donate to businesses being vandalized by looters. Any opportunity to redirect focus and victim blame. You have no sympathy. I have no sympathy.

That's why it adds an extra layer of irony to your suggestion to this dude about putting me on ignore, when I already had him on ignore to avoid this. A good question is why he is even trying to start another argument with me. What's not surprising is that you would, somehow, mutate me stating that I feel bad about using Amazon, as some form of instigation toward them. Somehow, it doesn't start when someone intentionally starts trying to agitate other people, but when someone pushes back and tells them to knock it off. It's passive aggressive, if not full on bullying behavior. You aren't a victim and he isn't a victim.

This guy has a documented history of admittedly trying to stir shit up on here. He swarmed reddit with nothing but posts claiming that he was only there to troll everybody. "Love the downvotes! I want them! I'm actually just trying to see how many downvotes I can get! I'm trying to get them!" Everyone started ignoring him and downvoting his posts through the ground, so he popped up here and did the exact same thing, admitting that he was only here to troll people. You're actually telling someone who proudly built their entire identity on the idea of being a troll to not let others get to him. "There there. You just keep trolling and don't let others tell you anything different. I also know what it's like to have someone tell you that you shouldn't act like an insensitive jerk to people." No matter how you want to slice it, I actually care about this place and the people in it. I didn't just show up with the sole intention of trying to poison the community like they did. I'm sure reviews on my success would vary, but this guy literally expressed that his intentions were to do just that.

But that's you're boy. Cool team.

Don’t worry soon enough they will all be replaced by robots. That will solve everything.

Yup, it's just the reality of the world. It sucks, but nothing we do, nor any amount of saying "fuck amazon" will change that because your every day joe doesn't give a fuck.

Omg yaaaaaaaaas! Exactly! Like literally I’ll workout and will work crazy! Like you can be like “Nathan, make sure you scrub the floors and make sure it’s spotless” and I’ll be more than happy to do that the whole shift If I have my speaker with me and can play my own music the whole time! 🔥🧹🧽

Man, I really feel like you Rahawk2, and I would have a great time drinking some rounds at the pub haha.

If you think VMP and Amazon are on the same level of evilness, I don't know what to tell ya...

Not even worth it. This guy's whole thing started out by attacking me and others for critiquing VMP, too much. I was impossible to please and had blind unrealistic and unwarranted disdain for them, or something. Is his take now that I love and am defending them? We all know it's disingenuous attention seeking. I believe the term the kids use is "thirsty."

I even tried to make sure that nobody felt like I was criticizing them for whatever they did, as far as using VMP OR AMAZON. People make the choices they do and often the choices they need to. There's a pandemic. I was on AMAZON looking for toilet paper a couple of months ago. I've also watched the effects on this city by them being here, though, so...

But, what am I doing? You're not an idiot and you're not going to pretend to be one just to get someone to talk to you. I don't have to explain this to you. Just know you're dealing with a bad faith actor.

This is like arguing about whether or not the Earth is flat [don't @ me]
