Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

It's interesting you enjoy the Willie Nelson. Would you say that record is country or rather some other style? I don't know him very well.

Feel the same about Gabriel Garzon and hope it sticks around long enough to see what the album sounds like.

I'm sure the Salt-N-Pepa will sound pretty good. If I would've picked up their RotM I would consider picking this up. I think both records are good, but I probably don't need them on vinyl.
I don’t think that Willie Nelson album is a country album. It’s like a pop-soul/blues record! The production by Booker T. Jones is absolutely immaculate on Stadust! He steals the show in my opinion! I actually really like Stardust, it’s a great album and apparently this 2LP AP 45RPM release sounds stunning! 💎

Can’t wait to blast “Let’s Talk About Sex” loud in my room though! 🔥🔥🔥

Haven’t checked out yet, but there’s 17 copies left of Whitney Houston, so I’m safe! I’m definitely buying the Afro-Peruvian Classics, and The Bar-Kays’ Cold Blooded! I’m also going to add the AP pressing of Willie Nelson’s Stardust!

I’m just listening to Salt-N-Pepa’s Black Magic! I think I’m going to get it, but am just re-visiting it! I know the pressing is going to sound amazing like the Salt-N-Pepa ROTM! It’s 45RPM as well, which is awesome! I love the singles from the album too! The production on that album is pretty good actually!

I kind of also want to get the Gabriel Garzon too but I think the colour variant is a bit underwhelming! I like the two singles from that album so far, but think I’ll just wait until the album fully gets released!

That Willie AP pressing is hot fire!

@Bluecloud777 did you order Khruangbin and have it ship separately recently? I got a shipment notification and tracking a while back but it's stuck at "IN TRANSIT TO DESTINATION COUNTRY" for almost 2 weeks now. Ever seen anything like that?

Vmp sent the white stripes to me separately at around the same time and it showed up pretty quickly.

Which APs do you have by now and what are your favorites?
I have too many to list down, but my favourite AP pressings are the Stereo pressing of Pet Boys’ Beach Sounds, The Doors’ L.A. Woman, Dave Brubeck’s Time Out, Ella Fitzgerald’s Let No Man Write my Epitah, Helen Merrill, Bill Evans’ At The Montreux Jazz Festival, Herbie Hancock’s HeadHunters, Stan Getz & Joao Gilberto’s Getz/Gilberto & Muddy Waters’ Folk Singer! 🌟🌟🌟

I love all my AP records though, but those ones are my absolute favourites! Can’t forget about Nat King Cole’s Love Is The Thing too! Such a romantic, spellbinding listen! ♥️🍸

I haven't ordered that album from VMP, but I recently also had that situation that a VMP record was in transit for 10 days or so. I think it has to do with the strong limitation of flights between the US and Germany. In the past many passenger flights also carried packages with them, but now most passenger flights between the US and Germany are cancelled. I think this status means that it is lying around at some US airport waiting to be flown here.
It's weird though that the White Stripes have arrived quickly. Possibly your Khruangbin also is already at German airport customs waiting to be dealt with. If you're unlucky, it could take a few weeks. As long as nobody deals with it, the status doesn't change sometimes.

Looking at it now they also left the US from two separate locations

I've ordered the Doors AP yesterday from VMP and am excited what it sounds like. 😍
Very happy to see your positive impressions and suggestions. 🙂👍

Also customs seems to be slow. A package from secretly arrived in Frankfurt on July, 4th and got to me yesterday

It sounds absolutely incredible! Like @Mather has said, it’s an extremely good sounding pressing! I also have the AP pressing of The Doors’ Strange Days which sounds great, but nowhere near as amazing as L.A. Woman! You’re in for an absolute treat with L.A. Woman! Pressing is simply sublime! 💎

That could have to do with one arriving quickly and one being stuck somewhere. Some areas are of course hit harder by Covid-19 than others or face a high amount of packages that have to be transported and have been lying around for a while.

In the past and in April I usually have received my VMP orders in 7 to 8 days, since May they need 2 weeks or longer.

Just picked up a copy of the Jaunt VMP Rising! I loved what I heard! I love the dreary, warm, hazy, jazzy sounds of the album! The subtle electronic sounds, and the emotive and moody guitar lines, with those velvety drums on many of the tracks are really nice! Such an instrumentally dense album, but it’s so smooth! Highly recommend this release if you enjoyed the Crumb, Still Woozy, Kate Bollinger & Barrie exclsuives! 👍

Also, this VMP Rising will definitely sell out within the next few weeks! It’s limited to 500 copies, and there’s only 80 copies left! 💨

Is it still VMP policy where they’ll ship an order only once everything in the order is in stock (as a member if that makes a difference)? Im thinking of ordering a few albums with the 10% coupon and wanted to include the Sonny Sharrock record as well but that won’t be around until October and most records in the order should be available August.

It’s a country album.
Awwww dammit! Now my record collection isn’t going to be as attractive now because I’ve got another Country record coming! 😅🌵

Just kidding, I’m happy that I’ll now have a record each by Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson & Loretta Lynn in my collection! 🙌🤠🥃

It means if any country fans come into my room, I have some albums to spin which they’d enjoy! 👍
