Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

Wait, they are pressing the new Gorillaz on recycled vinyl? And this is being billed as a wonderful exclusive feature to their pressing? Wow, good to see those extra $$$ are going to producing a quality product.

Coming 2021, all ROTMs will be pressed on recycled x-ray films!! Only $47 a record, which will be rolled up and shipped in a cardboard tube.

They've already started doing that. Heres my 'Storf's Hand' Exclusive pressing.

(in all serious this is actually my copy of a soviet era Roentgenizdat (Bone Record))

I remember reading someone (maybe you)?) who was collecting these records, on this forum or the previous one.
I dont collect them but have that one that I posted above. I also went to a lecture by Stephen Coates a while back. Hes the foremost expert on Bone Records and have a massive collection himself. He even sourced an original lathe that cuts direct to x-ray. At the end of the lecture he had a singer perform while they cut direct to a record, and at the end he played it back for the audience. Heres his book, I thoroughly recommend it.

Just had a look through my photos and found a few from the event. Heres one of the lathe used to cut the x-rays, and here I am holding the one they cut that night as the musician performed.

Did we know this was back? Because it's back.
And because it's VMP you can find it in the "Jazz" section of the website.
I was able to order this for the members price along with free shipping even though I’m no longer a member. Now, before I decide to keep the order, how is the sound quality on this for those that have it? Do we know mastering and pressing details? The info page was a tad sparse.

Edit: Discogs shows Kevin Gray remastering and a GZ press. I’ll keep the order and hope for the best.
