I’m sure the bundle will get restocked soon, as these Mariah Carey exclusives aren’t limited to a particular number! VMP probably just ordered 1000 copies each to get pressed, just to be safe, as they might have thought those exclusives might not sell very well!

I think in the upcoming weeks, the bundle will get restocked and will be available to purchase! 😃

I weirdly got quick response times the last two times I messaged them. Instead of emailing I contacted via the zen desk link. I cancelled a preorder and was refunded within 2 hours and one of my swaps was damaged and they gave me store credit for it within an hour. Outside of that, anytime I contacted CS through email, it took over a week for a response.
 
I just played Ceasar Frazier’s Hail Ceasar and the VMP pressing sounds amazing! I enjoyed listening to that record so much, and the colour variant is spot on! 🎯

I’m now listening to Eugene McDaniels ‘Outlaw’ and I’m so impressed! This is definitely one of my favourite VMP exclusives of 2020! Eugene’s passionate, fighting and at times, sexual vocals + the political lyrics and the steamy yet dreamy production is just sublime! I’m so happy VMP did an exclusive of Outlaw! It’s definitely one of my favourites! ♥️
 
For those wondering, there are 638 copies of Gorillaz’ Song Machine left in store! Seems like there is still no rush to grab the VMP exclusive just yet!

I want to grab this VMP Gorillaz Exclusive, but I’m hearing mixed things about recycled vinyl. A lot of people say recycled vinyl sounds inferior/is noisy, and for that reason I think I’m gonna wait and see what people say about this particular VMP pressing before I purchase it!

The worries about recycled vinyl date back to the 70s/80s when pressing plants started reusing vinyl in response to increases in oil prices. Like many things back then, it was not done particularly well and you would find pieces of labels and other debris in the record.

I would assume that modern recycled product would likely be similar to moden color pressings, which sound a lot better than those from the same era.

Given the ways of the world, recycled product is going to be a necessity and I'm hopeful that this album will sound great and be a quality pressing.

I'm amazed they've sold that many copies of it tbh. There is literally no benefit to getting this version. It's much pricier than the other standard releases, the variant is ugly as shit, and it being on recycled vinyl almost guarantees it will sound worse than the other releases by default.

I think it's more "limited" than the indie variant plus VMP has a reputation for a lot of their pressings gaining value second hand after they sell out. That's my guess though...I skipped out on this one. I'm gonna hope that the deluxe comes down in price at some point. I ordered the deluxe for $30 from a small shop but got the email saying that the price was wrong so I could pay $50 extra to get the deluxe or swap this for the indie variant and get a few dollars back...I did get The Now Now deluxe for really cheap at some point so hoping that it happens with this one too.

Yeah I got the deluxe off their site, I did it with Humanz and The Now Now so I see no reason to not do it this time around as well. Plus it will be nice to have the bonus tracks on wax as well. But I think you're right - a large percentage of stock has probably been snagged up by flippers looking to take advantage of the Gorillaz hype. And like you said, VMP is notorious for feeding into that FOMO buying culture so it makes sense. I still think of the variants available it is by far the worst.

Do you think the colour variant really is that ugly! I actually don’t mind the colour variant! I have a feeling it will look decent in person! 🙈

I got the deluxe from their site (the regular deluxe, not the super expensive one with all the 7"s). It's on black vinyl but I'll like having the deluxe tracks on vinyl as well, plus it comes with a CD. Also I'm a sucker for the extra art and stuff, I've splurged for the deluxe of the last two so figured it was only appropriate to continue the tradition with this one.

If I really like the tracks on the deluxe version for Song Machine, I’ll probably end up splurging and buying it too! I really like the song “How Far?”, which will be on the Deluxe edition! Also on the Deluxe edition, there’s a track with JPEGMAFIA and Chai, which I’m really anticipating! There’s another song on the Deluxe that has Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Goldlink; I’m also really excited to hear this track! I briefly checked out Moonchild Sanelly too and cannot wait for the track she’s on too! And I love Earthgang too, and I’m sure the track they are on (which is also a Deluxe edition track), will be amazing!

So far the six Deluxe Edition tracks on Song Machine are looking to be amazing! I think I’ll end up getting the Deluxe edition too, but it is very expensive, so I’m just going to wait until the full album drops! If I most of the tracks on the Deluxe Edition, I’ll splurge and will get the 2xLP edition!
 
So far I have 4 albums coming in two boxes (still waiting for tracking on Courtney Marie Andrews, Ali Farka Toure and Harold Alexander). Did USPS stop providing estimated delivery dates?
