Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

I think I'm set on the Rob swap, but I keep changing the other one... went from Novos Baianos to Grace Lightman to Lil Wayne (and still considering requesting a swap for Cochin Moon)... maybe I'll just dump the Classics Add-on for the month and swap for Rob with my Essentials main sub...lol
Whatever you do, pick up Rob! Trust me! It’s a must grab and people are saying that it sounds amazing on vinyl! The album instrumentally is really emotive in my opinion even if it’s sensual and funky!

also, how TF is Outkast in the store right now?

Well, in the Reddit AMA Storf said Both Oukast and Nat Turner would be up for sale/swaps soon so my guess would be they overpressed the repress and now have extra for sale.

Edit: found it...

Why is there so many exclusives coming in september? holy hell, the current list of september VMP releases is:

Miami Memory - Alex Cameron
Blanck Mass - Animated Violence (even though this is in swaps for some reason  )
Dawes - North Hills
I think Grace - Jeff Buckley
Kindness - Something Like A War
Hard Core - Lil' Kim
Mariah Carey - Daydream
Paul Cauthen - Room 41
Freddie Gibbs and Madlib - Pinata and Bandana
Shura - forevher
Tanya Tucker - While I'm Livin'
Velvet Negroni - NEON BROWN
Whitney - Forever Turned Around

This many exclusives releasing at the same time is just asking for something to be delayed. And this isn't including ones releasing that are sold out and no longer in the store for me to check!

OMG this company is a mess. I just went to my orders page and noticed the Outkast that I ordered two months ago was nowhere to be found. I used the chat feature to ask if I was still getting it, and they said it had been CANCELLED. WHAT?!? I NEVER CANCELLED IT. THANK GOD I SAID SOMETHING ELSE I'D BE OUT 23$.

Now they said I'll be getting one, but it's not gonna show up in my orders page. They said that I'm in a Google Doc for people who need to receive it.

Also in regards to Outkast, it looks someone re-ordered it for me today and put it on my orders page. The date it was ordered was today, so it had to have been in response to me telling them that it was suddenly gone. I'm still just bewildered that it was cancelled without warning

Joel Ross is a must grab in my opinion. First, it’s nice that it’s a Blue Note pressing and that the colour variant matches the album cover well.

Now for the music, it’s just full of life. It’s calming, yet intense and so rich and colourful. The interplay between all the musicians (pianist, bassist, saxophonist and Joel Ross/vibraphonist) - feels very tight and basement like. When I saw Joel Ross live, it was the same! All the musicians worked tightly together and in such harmony.

Ask @Selaws - the pianist is subtle and very romantic yet the saxophonist is passionate and edgy, yet the bassist is soothing and dreamy and Joel Ross is spiritual yet quirky and smooth. And the drums are crisp! But Joel Ross really is at the forefront.

If there’s 3 words I could describe Kingmaker, it would be: Wise, Rich & Fearless
Thanks so much for the enthusiastic review Nathan, i'm sold! Now I wish I could see him on tour!

It's in swaps too I believe. Also, they let me swap for Joel Ross again (cancelled it on me last time as it was pushed out a month), so that seems to be a requestable option for those interested.
Man, just saw this... Swapped again...
Now I have SK on Essentials, Outkast swapped on Classics, Joel Ross swapped on RHH and purchased Rob (which was my previous swap on the Classics track).
Done, not changing my mind anymore!

I keep trying but outside of Footsteps in the Dark I'm not feeling the Isleys much. I might swap for OME since it is his only album I don't have. I probably like it more than many since it is what got me into him. I need to pick up Booker eventually too though.

All this Rob talk made me want to go order the more deluxe Analog Africa package and it is getting hard to find so I ordered it from 3rd party Amazon. Boogie on.

Yep, what @NathanRicaud said!

Kingmaker has been (potentially) the album of the year for me so far. He's fantastic live and has crazy good chemistry with his band. Top notch stuff!
