I had to contact support. They have been able to swap for both of my requests in the store so far (Stepping Into Tomorrow back in May, and FanMail this month).

I was hoping to swap for Charlie Collins, but it looks like it’s OOS now. Anyone have any success emailing in this situation to swap for an OOS record? My fallback might be Rose Droll, it seems like an album I’ll like even more on vinyl. Other considerations are Rob or emailing for Skull Snaps.

Do you request these swaps well in advance? I ask because when I email customer service I don't usually hear back for 48 hours on average, so I'm wondering how you accomplish this. Do you email a few days in advance asking for a particular swap to be enacted once the records are announced?

I prepare the email and save as a draft (I use Yahoo) the night before so it saves me time in the case that my desired swap is not available come announcement day. I send the email once I see my swap is not a part of the available options.
So far, I've been able to get a response within 3 hours both times. I realize that others might have the same idea, and that is the risk I am taking with this method.

I love those Hosono releases. It’s really weird so I would recommend previewing it. Haven’t heard anyone say anything bad about the pressing.

It took about 2 minutes on chat for my "custom" swap request to go through and show up on my orders page.

Nope, sorry for the confusion. I swapped for Joel Ross. I just noticed that the Buckley album was showing low stock.
