Since you can get the aquamarine one for 24.99 (free ship at your local and/or via bundling at Bull Moose), it’s basically an 8 dollar premium for numbered and tweaked album art. I’d only consider the color of value if it was a swirl / split or splatter.

Oh, I also wasn't aware of this free shipping to your local. That makes a big difference. How does that work?

I just give them a call and let them know what I'm looking for and they open up their distributor's database to see if they can get it and that's about it. Indies usually get limited variants, albeit in smaller amounts (Loser editions, etc.)

Obviously if there is something I know will sell out online and never be available with retail, I'll jump on it. But I have a feeling the aquamarine variant is not an online release only.

Yes but things like those what makes me buy it over a reg copy sometimes...I could’ve gotten that rob many times at my local for the same sound

Man, VMP's casual apathy towards issues is so comical at this point it's borderline parody-tier. Counting down the days till I send in an email about a mistake they made and their response is "Yeah man I don't know, I guess we'll get around to fixing that eventually. Or not. Who knows. What are you, a cop? Fuck you"

Hell, the alternate cover for The Lemon Of Pink was pretty badass too. I was introduced to the album via VMP so maybe it's because I had no prior connection to the "original" art but I think the VMP art is way better than the original.

Of course, that was 2016 VMP. 2019 VMP would shift this:

and charge $38 for it
