Per Paulium on discord, they used the code so there could be a sale over the holidays while the team was on break. It doesn’t sound like it’ll be a normal thing and we’ll be going back to prices being modified in store.

I’m fine with the price increase, but not fine with the utter lack of compassion shown to members by not releasing any notice of the price increase. It’s a terrible plan for communication, but probably looked really good for their bottom line. Felt disrespectful.
