Last year I got a nice DAC for my main setup (the Denafrips Ares II) and got Roon + Qobuz which kinda replaces a VMP membership for about the same price or less now every month. Use it all the time.

The Ikea sonos are actually pretty great and cheap too. We put those in a few rooms in our house. Think the bookshelf ones are $99 and Ikea makes cheap stands for them as well.

A large majority of my vinyl purchases now are used copies (or boomboom reissues haha).

They'll have Essentials obis, and in a couple cases, remastered. Depends on if band/artist wanted us to remaster tbh. All will be on exclusive color.

super strange that the four cheapest of those 20 items are from sellers in China , hardly any of the hip hop records im after ever ship from China, thats so bizarre
 
Did they say if these reissues are going to be limited, did I miss that? Not much in those first 15 I'd pull the trigger on except the SBTRTK and the Express Rising but I highly doubt the latter is considered

I saw that Pharcyde boxset for $100 once and thought I like this record but not $100 like...

Yeah I think I got it for like... $70? And I thought the same thing but figured ah fuck it.

I know it doesn't have all the different mixes that the box set does, but you can get a VG+ copy of the OG for less than $100.

I have the OG yellow & blue pressing and it sounds great!

Speaking of VMP Christmas album exclusives, I used the last of my credit back in November on Bobby Timmons - Holiday Soul and the Louis Armstrong - Cool Yule. I thought the Louis album was just ok musically and sonically, but that Bobby Timmons was awesome. Piano jazz trio with a hint of blues and soul-jazz. Paired well with a nice port in the evening or chai in the morning over the holidays.

PS: And if that's the last VMP album I ever get, which with the price increase it easily could be, at least I ended on a good note.

I snagged this one as well - one of my very few store purchases from them last year. Agreed it’s a really great listen (and great sound too).
