Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

I’d probably chuck Singles, La La Land, Whiplash and Almost Famous in that list. Plus that mint Wes Anderson covers compilation that came out a few years back.

Maybe Stranger Things if I’m feeling a bit synthy
I typically spin soundtracks more than scores. Weirdly, my wife and I spin the Big Little Lies soundtracks quite a lot even though I didn't like the show. Not sure what score I listen to frequently.....the Social Network score is pretty rad but just don't spin it a ton. Same with There Will Be Blood.

The ‘Music From Big Little Lies’ playlist on Apple Music is mega. Anything that starts with Kiwanuka is worth a listen though

Yea--the music is awesome. There's a stupid recurring thing in the show where one of the little kids has really great taste in music. It adds absolutely nothing to the show from what I remember but it does make the soundtrack really killer.

Side note about Kiwanuka--I'm really pretty shocked that he's not that big in America. He's so insanely good and talented yet hardly anybody seems to know him here. His song was played over the title sequence on every episode and people seem to recognize the song but don't know him as an artist.

He’s totally talented. I’ve seen him live a couple of times and he can play. Totally. Band is mega tight too. I thought after his second album he might conquer the world too so surprised he’s not better known

I'd add Vanilla Sky, Juno, Lost in Translation and Drive
I am not a big soundtrack person but I get their appeal. Certain creators; Wes Anderson, Quinton Tarantino, John Hughes, Noah Baumbach, Sofia Coppola, Cameron Crowe, etc…, were fantastic curators of music. They introduced to a lot of artists and songs that I would fall in love with, influencing my musical tastes moving forward.

Anybody know if can you only get the referral credits once? Looks like two people signed up using my link but I am only seeing $80 in referral credits.

While we're at it, I'll finally join the party.
