Your local has overheads that VMP doesn’t. For a D2C outfit they’re consistently way more expensive than any local I use and I live in a very expensive city in a country with a high level of VAT.

Not really? Back when I started collecting in 2006 my first two new LPs (Band of Horses and Sufjan Stevens respectively) were like $18 and $22 respectively still cheap but not $15 cheap. For me $15 for a new record always felt like a good deal.

I mean I remember when they were like 8 bucks and cassettes were like 10 or 12 and a cd would be between 15 and 20. This was around the same time that a new VHS would run you like $60.
