What’s the new deadwax say?

Identical to the 2024 pressing except one group of stamped numbers were changed.

Side A: 1652077 is now 1789800
Side B: 1768737 is now 2011183

Edit: And for anyone that cares, the 2025 version has a barcode sticker on the outer sleeve which I didn't have on my 2024 pressing: 081227818999

Those other GZ numbers are serial numbers of nickel mothers, and would be a variant of an existing sub, is everything else to do with the release is the same.

And the bar code sticker as well?

Idk I feel like one came out in early 2024 and a repress came out in early 2025, and there’s info that can determine which one is which. That to me feels like it’d warrant its own entry but if it falls into simple variant territory, I won’t create it.

Barcode stickers are usually considered "post-manufacture" as they are added by the distributors rather than the manufacturer.

Most of the time they are different because they consider it a different release in-house.

For Discogs purposes if the sticker barcode and the different GZ runout is all that is different they should be a variant of the existing release.

Discogs just doesn't like stickers.

If there is something different with the printing...on the jacket, inserts, labels, obi...anything, then that would warrant a new submission.

a picture of the barcode may help, but i imagine that if it's on a sticker and not the actual release, it would still fall into being a variant of the old entry.

even though there is no proper barcode on the first VMP press, it does list 081227818999 as the UPC on the back of the jacket. i assume the new one says ©2024 on the back as well?
