Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

Yeah I've got a recent press of Expensive Shit and it's pretty crap. And I have a recent pressing of Ginger Baker and it's awesome.

Was the Ginger Baker from the 50th line? I was under the impression Knitting Factory redid the plates for the 50th reissues. There are only a few so far and I'm pretty sure they haven't got to Expensive Shit yet with those. Anyway, I never picked up any of the earlier Knitting Factory reissues, those were not supposed to be great.

It was 2014 I think?

The 50th are Miles @ Abbey?

Pass.

I'd say just pick 1 or 2 of his albums that attract you the most and go from there. Can't really go wrong with any of his 70's output.

I have Fela pressings that run the gamut, some originals, some 90's reissues and some more recent. The only one I really dislike is a copy of Zombie from the 90's pressed in the US. That's garbage. My originals (one Canadian, 3 US) sound good but are noisy. The two French reissues from the 90's I have are good. Also, the recent 50th anniversary issues are fine as well, if you find them on sale (I imagine VMP was going to use Knitting Factory plates anyway?).
Expensive Shit, Zombie, and Gentleman are my faves but like you said any of the 70s albums are fantastic.

I think @Mather should travel to Nigeria to pick up so OG country of origin pressings.
