Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

I love the Charlie Brown Halloween / Christmas albums by Vince Guaraldi but don't think I really need to spend the extra $ for a color variant. Looking on Amazon, same Charlie Brown album is nearly $7 cheaper and I could grab the Christmas one as well.

$28 for a one sided record? Yeah, that's gonna be a no from me, dawg.

Some Girls (objectively perfect)
Exile (might have a little filler, but my goodness when they hit they HIT)
Sticky (best Side A ever?)
Let it Bleed (best album opening/closing tracks in all of rock & roll)
Beggars (meh - fine, I guess)

Tattoo You (first Stones album I purchased when it came out - don't @me)
Emotional Rescue

Older stuff

Goat's Head

Everything released after 1981

Understandable to leave out It's Only Rock 'n Roll and Black and Blue. Pretty forgettable IMO.

If we’re ranking Stones albums, for me it is:

1. Banquet
2. Exile
3. Sticky Fingers
4. Some Girls
5. Let It Bleed

Though all 5 are stone cold classics.
The Stones have a deep bench too. I think their list of Really good Stones albums (as opposed to All time great rock records) is like probably another 10 records deep. Goats Head Soup, Their Satanic Majesty Requests, Out Of Our Heads, Emotional Rescue, Etc... While a lot of these records aren't to the same top tier level as many of the others named they are still damn fine albums.

That one is my favorite and has one of my top 3 Stones tracks in “Heartbreaker.” Won’t pretend it’s their best, but man do I like that album a lot.
It seems like they were just taking the piss with this album. The album cover, the name, the insert that came with it (below). A year after the behemoth that was exile (thus ending an absolute ridiculous run of albums). Just having a good time with it again.

I'll @ you because I think Tattoo You is pretty good too. Your list is pretty much bang on with my tastes.

OMG, OH NO HE JUST DIDN....HUH LIKE T WHAA MM UGHHHHHHHHHH!!!

I hate how I just got put back in my place! 🙈😳

But, I must say, that FKA TWIGS album cover is intriguing, new-age and artistic. Whereas I think that the Halloween Soundtrack cover doesn’t look intriguing, interesting or artistic. It just looks so ugly and cheap and tasteless 😷

Oh my gosh though, that FKA Twigs album cover is pretty ugly still. But I don’t mind it that much personally 🤷‍♂️
