Agreed, the next 10 or so albums are in the very good category. I’d say Aftermath and Tattoo You would likely be my next two albums, but it’s a pretty deep bench of very good rock albums.
 
Even if you decide to save yourself ten bucks and get the black version, I wholeheartedly recommend that Christone Ingram “Kingfish” album. That’s some hot blues fire that Alligator signed really early this year and worth your time.

And this is the right call. That album is about it’s dirty blues energy rather than hits. My Stones take of the quadrology of unimpeachable brilliance is:

Beggars Banquet
Let It Bleed
Sticky Fingers

One way or another, I am getting this album.
I think it'll make it to Swaps so I'll save $6. It is only $4 CDN more to get it from VMP than Amazon (Canada) at the moment.

Makes sense. If I couldn’t order it for $17 shipped I’d drop the couple extra for the yellow, but ten bones is a big premium for a colorway with no extras.

I think it says a lot of good things about an artist's catalogue when few people can agree on the same top 5 order. So if you're curious about a stones album, and it's all over the place in various rankings lists, it's probably a safe bet from a great band.

Good point, but, and I don't know if people are intentionally limiting their lists to just studio albums, you haven't heard what the Stones were capable of if you don't listen to Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out.

A great thing about this record is it features Nik Raicevic who I think maybe was one of their drug dealers? Started an independent label in the 70s called Narco Records iirc and did weird outsider-electronic music. Definitely worth checking out. He also put out an lp as head on buddah.

I never heard it before also , and now I don't think I want to wait for it to hit swaps, might just have the black one on Amazon sent and get it tomorrow. It's really good.

But usually with VMP exclusives, I’m always keen to check out the music. Just in case I really enjoy it and want to then buy it.

But this soundtrack cover is so ugly, I can’t be bothered even previewing it on iTunes. It’s too ugly, I can’t deal 😂
