Can we leave politics on the political discussion thread ?Better than my idea for a rebrand which is Speedos and Tugs
Well they fixed the link but it had 23 total swap options which seemed…wrong. Also I bet the preview link was automated then they scrambled to try to make it workIt seems odd to me that someone bothered to fix the preview link a few days ago if they were going to shut it all down today.
Lol I’ve spent the last hour wondering if that post was satire or actually real.lol at the guy on reddit who signed up for a 3 month sub 5 hours ago literally minutes before the site went to shit without having any knowledge of their impending demise.
I know. Read about this case maybe a year ago. Just saying as to “what does this mean?” in relation to the past few weeks, probably not a whole lot. It’s unlikely the settlement suddenly made them in financial trouble. They have been in trouble for a long time.
lol. Do they really tell people five to seven days in confirmation emails? That’s very funny. Basically there is some magic date around the time swaps close that cuts off orders and anything after that waits till the next month’s fulfillment window starts in the 20th. No wonder there are like three people on the discord every into going”where’s my shit?”I put an order in 9 days ago, and haven’t seen any movement. Though the confirmation email did say 7-10 business days and it’s only been 5, so we’ll see.
Depends. If the decision to terminate had been made prior, there is a strong argument for going ahead. If the complaint can be seen legally and morally as an attempt to evade a dismissal, it doesn't matter if it is three days or three months. If the employer feels the relationship has become irreparably toxic, take your lumps and let the employee go.regardless of what happened, firing someone 3 days after they make a complaint about discrimination is uh probably not the right move to make.
Well yea. But he’s been gone over a year. There was an insinuation, at least on Reddit, that this settlement is what caused VMP to finally go under. Not sure that’s the caseWell outside of an example of how Cameron may not have been the best CEO...
Oh definitely not. But I think it is pretty clear that their downfall was kickstarted by decisions Cameron made as CEO and the board not keeping their eye on the ball.Well yea. Very Meaty Pizza, always…..My big question is what becomes of this thread when the inevitable happens?
It also helps if the notifying manager and HR are in sync with the employment action in question, particularly when speaking with the employee.Depends. Then again, if you have just fucked it up or are being pricks, you'll be spending the legal fees.
We'll be discussing high-end auto parts! My big question is what becomes of this thread when the inevitable happens
It’s probably a cluster of an excel spreadsheet…According to the latest comment on Discord swaps are open again and with a larger selection. Who knows what’s going on with the VMP site. I envision one poor tech guy trying to keep the site active.
What a rollercoaster ride this is!
that poor guy would be co-founder tyler hah. unclear if they have let their web dev team go--that stuff is outsourced.According to the latest comment on Discord swaps are open again and with a larger selection.
