I would not get Miami Memory unless you want to be slightly disappointed. Sounds fine after a good cleaning but literally everything else was messed up with it.

Ok. might go with sampa then. gave jim a listen again. liked it but ultimately felt like it would just sit around for a while.

I was dead set for grabbing Brittany Howard's solo release, but after listening, it just didn't grab me like her other stuff. Definitely a passion project, in my opinion.

Shrink oddly tight on only certain areas caused jacket and vinyl to be mildly warped. Vinyl dirty as hell. Cheap card stock for jacket. Color dissapointing in comparison to mock-up

That’s a pity, I really enjoyed it, can feel it growing into a real favourite. That said it is definitely very different to the Alabama Shakes!

Mostly because of Wayne coyne's voice.. it feels it doesn't mix perfectly

Made me listen to relisten to Embroynic for the first time in awhile. Forgot how good it was. If I ever build a haunted house I'm going to just have See the Leaves playing in it on a repeating loop.

Yeah I really wanted to like it and did enjoy some of the tracks. Some others not so much. Will definitely give it another listen to see if anything resonates.

The pressings done at GZ are made to cater to the UO Crosley crowd, while the Classics and Anthologies cater to more of an audiophile crowd.

True, and unfortunate. Because as the UO crowd ages, upgrades, and finds out that half of their vinyl collection doesn’t scale well, they will progressively fall out of the vinyl hobby. Vinyl is functionally a PITA, and a hard sell from a logic standpoint. But when it sounds great it’s magic as many of us know. But if you remove the magic, it looses it’s appeal quickly.
Always sad to see companies grabbing a quick buck vs earning lifetime customers.

Likely to be another unofficial swap. Be warned, I did this with lil Kim and that has now been delayed til November. If you don’t care and want free credits for waiting, go for it!

Yah! Give it a listen before tracking down the vinyl just in case it’s not your thing. But you’ll prolly think it’s enjoyable.

Just confirming - so the sound quality is great on the record but everything else is disappointing, like the way the record was shrink wrapped, the colour of the vinyl, the vinyl itself being dirty and the cheap quality of the jacket?

Correct, it sounds.... fine. Nothing amazing but it certainly plays fine. The shrink doesn’t bother me, but I think it’s the reason the record and jacket were warped
